Why We Exist

As of 2019, nearly 30% of Americans report electronic sensitivity. Symptoms of electronic hyper-sensitivity (EHS) include headaches, migraines, fatigue, brain fog, memory reduction, and general discomfort around electronic devices.

The human body wasn't designed to process this artificial electro-radiation. Humans have lived and processed natural EMF radiation for centuries, as the sun is a source of EMF radiation.

Our vision is to help build a world where people are able to live unencumbered by this artificial radiation, by creating devices which alter harmful man-made radiation into harmless, organic radiation.

Our Journey

The Story of Waveguard

From personal struggle to global innovation — explore the milestones that shaped Waveguard.

The Beginning

Our journey started with founder and inventor, Hagen Thiers. Hagen experienced electro-sensitivity from an early age. Headaches, dizziness, sleep disruption, and difficulty concentrating were part of his everyday life. Like him, many people report similar effects associated with long-term exposure to EMF radiation.

Early Life

First Prototypes

For a short time, Thiers lived off the grid. While this provided a refuge from radiation, it was never a sustainable solution. In 2008, Hagen began developing prototypes aimed at addressing electromagnetic exposure directly. Through years of testing and refinement, these early experiments evolved into what would later become Qi Technology.

2008

Qi-Technologies Founded

Hagen founded Qi-Technologies and began manufacturing Qi Devices, bringing his vision of EMF protection to the public for the first time.

2014

Research & Rebranding

Multiple independent studies were underway to evaluate the technical and biological effects of Qi devices. During this time, the company expanded it's international reach and was recognized as a world leader in EMF Protection. At this time, Qi-Technologies rebranded to Waveguard to be more easily recognized.

2019

European Inventor of the Year

On October 27, 2022, Hagen Thiers received an award for innovation and international cooperation from the Association of European Inventors, and was named European Inventor of the Year. He was recognized for the impact and originality of Qi Technology.

2022

Partnership with Nuki USA

Hagen Thiers continued to expand the business by partnering with Nuki USA. Waveguard transferred all intellectual property, studies, websites, and global product rights for the Qi Devices. Under Nuki's leadership, Waveguard is positioned for sustainable growth, stronger customer support, and continued advancement of Qi technology.

Our Mission

Today, Waveguard exists because modern life relies on wireless technology. EMF exposure from mobile devices, WiFi, 5G, and emerging networks is unavoidable. But at Waveguard, we believe the health issues associated with EMF radiation are avoidable.
