Health consequences of electromagnetic radiofrequency radiation such as:
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Sleep disorders
- Lack of energy
- Lack of concentration
are to be associated with mobile radio and furthermore proven by studies.
In addition to the tissue heating officially confirmed by the World Health Organization (WHO), unnatural EMF sources cause athermal biological effects. These are caused by the excess of free radicals – particularly reactive oxygen compounds that are missing an electron.
Free radicals fulfill important functions in our body, e.g. they kill uncontrolled growing cells or destroy pathogens. However, they can also burden the organism by causing oxidative stress. This is a state of metabolism in which the concentration of free radicals is higher than necessary and at the same time a counterbalance in the form of antioxidants is missing or not strong enough.
Thus, various studies demonstrated, among other things, a connection between increased free radicals, oxidative stress and cancer. Damage to the genetic material has also been scientifically proven. As early as the 1950s, the American biologist Denham Harman discovered this phenomenon and also held free radicals responsible for the signs of aging in the skin and organs.
Cancer risk
The Cancer Research Group(IARC) of the World Health Organization(WHO) classified electromagnetic fields as “possibly carcinogenic” in May 2011. Naila study, 2004
In a long-term study (1994-2004), a private physicians’ initiative in Naila (Upper Franconia) dealt with the health consequences of continuous exposure to radiation from transmission towers. They determined the number of new cancer cases in two groups of people living in different radius to a mobile phone transmitter: Radius 1: max. 400 meters, radius 2: 400 to 1,000 meters. Findings:
- The proportion of new cancer cases tripled in radius 1 compared with radius 2.
- New cases in radius 1 were on average 8.5 years younger.
NTP study, 2018
This is a long-term study in mice and rats to identify potential hazards from mobile phone fields. The result: It is certified that there is a clear connection between cancer and mobile radio.
